About

Shoot for the Moon
Swim to the Stars

Once Upon A Time. . .

The moon had fallen in love with the sea. The true reason behind their love is a story told in many different ways. Some say, she fell in love with the sea's freedom. Her ability to change given any moment and no one dared to question her. Others believe the moon fell in love with the sea's song. But, whatever the origin of their love, it was powerful enough to move the sea, herself.

Alas, the moon and the sea could never truly be together. The moon sent gifts down, some were the stars so that the ocean would be ever-reminded of her love. The ocean took care of the stars, giving them a new life beneath the waves. In return, she sent oceanic animals to the sky. Ones that even now, if you look up, you can see within the constellations.

But it was never enough. The two would long to be together for what seemed to be all of time. Their distance meaning that they could never quite share something between them. That was until the sea got an idea. 'What if,' she thought, 'you gave to me the soul of a star, and with my magics, I gave it a new life.' And so the moon summoned forth a star and bid it from her night skies.

Born from divinity that only the moon and the sea could create together, their dream came to life! Aptly, she was given the name, 'Aisling.' The mermaid awoke beneath the waters of Celtic shores, with a tail that had the likeness of both the sea and the moon. It is said that this mermaid has special gifts – magic – and that she can bless those who walk upon the land. But much like the moon, she is shy, and much like the sea, she is fickle.

Some say if you go out at night, and stand upon shoreline, with only lantern light and the most fanciful of gifts. . .  she'll come to you. That with good charm, she'll make deals. But, of course, these are just stories. . .
